I couldn’t help it…. Marli deserves a little love.

This is borderline embarrassing, but how can you resist this face?? I have to admit, this is my first dog, therefore she claims uncharted and unstaked areas in my heart. Being a reformed non-dog-lover, my tendencies have forever changed over this matter. It’s not that I didn’t love dogs, it’s just that I simply never had an attachment to one. Again, the fact that I am blogging photos of my little pup proves my heart has changed. When I first met her, I thought… ok, so my future husband comes with a dog… there could be worse things. I stood, statue-like, just praying she wouldn’t come too close, breath on me, lick me, or heaven forbid burry her face in my “zipper” area. Honestly, is there anything more embarrassing than that?? Well, I digress and shamelessly admit that things have dramatically changed. When I leave town, she refuses to eat. She exclusively kisses me and not Chance. When I am in the shower, she uses her body as a barricade at the door to ensure my safety. She sits at my feet while I work… probably building a decent amount of jealousy towards the others that get to be glorified on the blog. It’s her turn now. I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of her this morning sitting in her favorite place… in the sun on the retro shag rug. We love her.
