My niece, Grace, is SO SO special to me. We are like 2 peas in a pod. This was an impromptu shoot this weekend in San Diego… but I couldn’t resist! Isn’t she awesome!!
Here we are getting makeup on… false lashes and everything!! (just for fun…. wouldn’t recommend it for most 12-year olds…just wanted to play)

For a majority of the shoot, I would give her an idea of a simple pose.. but then she would move and pull out more simple and cute poses. For instance, I was checking my LCD screen to make sure the last shot was perfectly sharp, looked up and she had her hands on her head. Not posing… just standing there waiting for what was next. SO many times, I said “OOOH!! Stay right there!!” She’s just such a natural poser… a dancer, gymnast, cheerleader, athlete, musician.. those things help. 
GRACE!!! I love you so much! Thank you for letting me play with your hair and makeup. You are, by far, the most unique and beautiful young woman I know. I am so proud of you for being a leader in your school and for taking a stand for what is true… God is truly glorified in you!!
