I LOVE giving gifts… especially when the only thing they cost is my physical exhaustion from picking them out of the trees. I also love presenting gifts. Wrapping and presenting is important to me and I’m not sure why. If you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, why even have a cover? If we shouldn’t care about the way we look, then why did God even give us bodies? I’ve reconciled in my own mind that my body is simply God’s way of packaging around my heart. I know, I’m really not trying to get deep and mystical on you, I’m just sayin’… So, since the cover of the book does, in fact matter, than our bodies must have been created not to bring us perfect joy (as we are constantly criticizing them) but to demonstrate God’s craftsmanship, take good care of them and appreciate the value of the inside. All of that deepness to say… I think packaging is a fun and important detail. My husband laughs at me .
The best gifts don’t cost a thing.
